Counterpoint Asian Macro Fund / Counterpoint Asian Macro Master Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to generate absolute total returns through the use of a directional discretionary macro strategy, capitalising on investment opportunities driven by macroeconomic factors.
The Fund adheres to a disciplined, research-driven process focused on understanding fundamental value in, and key drivers of, economies and markets across Asia Pacific. Although focusing on Asia Pacific, the Fund may make investments outside of the Asia Pacific region.
Investment views of the portfolio manager will be expressed in the Fund by taking directional long and short positions in liquid, transparent, easy-to-price instruments across a range of asset classes, focusing primarily on equities, commodities, bonds and currencies. The strategy employs a dynamic approach to capital allocation in order to take advantage of the frequent and sudden shifts in investment opportunity characterised by the volatile economies and markets of Asia Pacific. There is however no minimum or fixed allocation to any asset class, geography or investment theme and over time the Fund’s exposures may vary widely within permitted limits.
